Love: The Baby Book

Every new mom needs one of these, an instructional guide on what the hell to do with that brand new creature only days in the oxygen. From bathing to dressing to nursing to sleeping, there is so much you want to get right. As you may know, I don’t exactly believe in a “right” way. We all have to just do our best and follow our values, but there is a way to do it so that you don’t drown or suffocate your child. I rely on The Baby Book by Dr. Sears. Sears is the doctor dude for all things attachment parenting. Most of his ideas seem to suit my ideals and lifestyle, so I trust him. He’s not too radical and just enough moderate in his methods for me. Of course, everything should be taken with a grain of mother’s intuition. This book follows baby from prenatal to age two. It shows what to expect and how to encourage natural development with play. There is also info in there about what to do when baby is sick. Actually, there is info on pretty much everything you can think of. I highly recommend it.
